At New Lanark we specialise in producing high quality woollen yarn which is ideal for both machine and hand knitting. From this website you can buy from a wide selection of Aran and double knitting wool produced entirely by traditional methods in one of the historic mills, where a 19th century spinning mule is still working.

All of our wool comes in three fantastic ranges: Donegal Silk Tweed, Heather Mixtures and Natural Blend. Go to Our Wool to find out more. We also offer a selection of our own blankets and scarves.

New Lanark has excellent green and organic credentials being the first wool production unit in Scotland to achieve the Soil Association's organic approval. We are organic wool spinners. In addition to our Gold Green Tourism Award, we use water from the River Clyde to generate hydro-electricity to power the mills.
